Data controller: Backendo Group LLP, a limited liability partnership
registered in the UK under Companies House number OC460286
("Backendo", "we", "us").
Contact: https://www.backendo.com/contactus
We only process personal data for the following purposes:
1. Staff and partner administration — administering our own partners and
staff.
2. Advertising, marketing and public relations for our own business —
for example, responding to enquiries submitted through our website's
contact form, maintaining business correspondence with prospective or
existing business contacts about our own services, sending marketing
communications through an email/CRM tool that manages only our own
contact list (we do not share this data with that tool's operator for
their own advertising purposes), and reviewing our own website's
search performance through Google Search Console.
3. Accounts and records for our own business — for example, invoicing
and bookkeeping data relating to our own clients and suppliers.
We do not process personal data for or on behalf of any other
organisation, we do not sell personal data, and we do not use CCTV,
website analytics, advertising trackers/pixels, or any other form of
monitoring or profiling of visitors.
What we collect: only what you provide to us directly (e.g. your name,
email address and message when you contact us), standard technical web
server logs required to operate and secure the site (not used for
marketing or profiling, kept only as long as needed for security), and
aggregated, non-identifying search-performance data from Google Search
Console, which does not use cookies or track individual visitors.
Cookies: we only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site
to function — we do not use cookies for advertising, analytics, or
cross-site tracking, and we do not use any cookie-consent banner
because no non-essential cookies are set. The strictly necessary
cookies we use are:
- A session cookie, used to remember your language preference and to
keep the website session working correctly. This cookie is deleted
when you close your browser, or expires automatically after a short
period.
- If you log in to a customer/partner portal on the Site, an
authentication cookie, used only to keep you logged in. This cookie
is deleted when you log out or after your session expires.
These cookies do not identify you personally beyond what is needed to
operate the Site, are not shared with any third party, and are not
used to build a profile of you or track you across other websites.
Payments: if you purchase our software through our checkout, the
transaction is processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, acting as the
Merchant of Record and reseller. Paddle collects and controls your
payment and billing data itself, as an independent data controller, not
on our behalf. Please see Paddle's own privacy policy at
https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy for how Paddle handles that data.
Legal basis: our legitimate interests in running a B2B software and IT
consultancy business (staff administration, our own marketing, and our
own accounts/records), and, where relevant, performance of a contract.
Your rights: you may ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict the
personal data we hold about you by contacting us at
https://www.backendo.com/contactus. You also have the right to complain
to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or, if
applicable, your local EU data protection authority.
This policy applies regardless of your location; where you are based in
the European Economic Area, both UK GDPR and (to the extent applicable)
EU GDPR principles are respected.
